On Friday, April 2nd, 2021 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. we will offer a special needs egg hunt for our community. While siblings and family members of the individual with special needs may attend, ONLY the child or adult with special needs will be allowed to actively participate in the hunt. At the entrance gate, Lazy Acres will provide an egg carton and the option of 3 different styles of egg hunts. The caretaker of the person with special needs will assist in determining the appropriate level of difficulty.

Because some of our special needs guests have difficulty with loud sounds, we will not being playing music over our loudspeakers or running any motorized equipment (tractors, Chunky Choo-Choo).

Option 1:  Traffic Jam (EASY)

This egg hunt is specifically designed for children who have wheelchairs or walkers and have a difficult time reaching eggs that are on the ground. At this patch, the eggs will all  be placed on cones for easy accessibility, and the child can find 2 of every color egg to return to the Easter Bunny for a prize box.

Option 2: Learning My Colors (EASY)

This egg hunt is designed for children with any type of special need. At this patch, the eggs will be placed all across a flat lawn area, and the children can find 2 of every color egg to return to the Easter Bunny for a prize box.

Option 3: Animal Adventures (More difficult)

This egg hunt is designed for children with any type of special need. For this hunt, the children will go find 6 eggs in the flat lawn area, and then find the other 6 eggs in our playground area (rough terrain). Once all 12 eggs have been found, they will return their carton to the Easter Bunny for a prize box.
